The French military procurement agency, Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA), has taken delivery of its first batch of MMP anti-armour guided missiles.
The MBDA MMP system is to be employed from VAB Armoured Fighting Vehicles and is also man portable, and will replace the Milan, HOT and ERYX systems currently in use. The batch of 50 missiles and 20 firing posts is the first of an order which will total some 1,750 missiles and 400 firing posts currently on order for all branches of the French military.
MMP has a range of more than 4,000m and can be employed in fire and forget or man in the loop modes.
MBDA is offering MMP for the ADF’s Projects LAND 400 and LAND 4108 requirements.
