Lieutenant General David Morrison has officially handed over command of the Australian Army at a parade in Canberra on May 15. After four years as Chief of Army, he has been succeeded by LTGEN Angus Campbell.
LTGEN Morrison expressed his gratitude to colleagues, friends and family for their support during his 36-year career. “It has been an honour and privilege to serve with and lead the talented men and women, military and civilian, of the Australian Army,” he said.
“Today I hand over stewardship to Lieutenant General Campbell with levels of capability at their highest in our history, and with a culture made stronger by the commitment of all to live to our values of courage, initiative, respect and teamwork.”
