Northrop Grumman has formally launched its operations in New Zealand during a ceremony in Wellington.
Ian Irving, chief executive of Northrop Grumman Australia, who also has responsibility for New Zealand, hailed the move to expand further in the Asia Pacific. “Northrop Grumman has made the decision to invest in this region for the long term,” he stated. “Our desire is to bring to New Zealand the new capabilities that it will need for the future and to see these capabilities delivered by New Zealanders, both within Northrop Grumman and our local industrial partners.”
Northrop Grumman stated that it is partnering with local companies such as Electrotech for navigation systems and IT business Datacom.
“We are very excited about our initial partnerships in New Zealand, and now we are actively looking at other New Zealand local content opportunities,” Irving said. “I am committed to extending our excellent Global Supply Chain program from Australia to also include New Zealand firms.”
