Nova Group has announced the appointment of Jim McDowell as its new Group CEO, to take effect from November 30.
Currently serving as Chief Executive of South Australia’s Department of the Premier and Cabinet, McDowell has extensive experience in the Defence Industry in Australia and overseas. He has served as CEO of BAE Systems Australia, and then as CEO of BAE’s Saudi Arabian business sector, and worked for Bombardier Shorts for 18 years.
“Jim is the right person to lead Nova into the future ushering in an exciting new chapter of the company’s long and proud history,” Chairman and Founder of Nova Group, Jim Whalley said in a statement. “He has a proven record of leadership and a breadth of business experience that we believe is critical to lead Nova, including the ability to forge major client relationships and a commitment to our people and the behaviours we want to emulate.”
Mr McDowell will replace interim CEO, Julie Cooper, who will return to her role as Non-Executive Director on the Nova Group Board.
