Technology company HENSOLDT Australia is showcasing its new radar and submarine sensor systems at INDO-PACIFIC 2022, as it expands its Australian presence.
That includes its Quadome naval radar an advanced active electronically steered antenna (AESA) system designed for smaller vessels such as patrol boats and frigates, and its new SERO 420 attack periscopes.

Quadome is designed for naval surveillance and target acquisition and features the latest gallium nitride-based AESA) technology and is software-defined, making it a a future-proof solution with extended operational lifetime.
“Quadome offers robust capabilities for the detection and tracking of small surface targets and accurate 3D tracking of small, low-flying, fast-moving air targets, ensuring effective threat evaluation, weapon assignment and a longer effector ‘keep-out’ range due to fast track initiation” Wachman said.
HENSOLDT has delivered more than submarine periscopes and optronic masts which are in service on the submarines of 21 navies. The latest is the SERO 420 which features the latest optics technology.
